  14.   The data included with Version 2.11 of the FCC FRS is derived from the  FCC
  15.   Master Frequency List.   No modifications of the data are made by  ScanWare
  16.   except for two enhancements to improve its usefulness:  each record of  the
  17.   data  is compared character-by-character with all others and any  duplicate
  18.   records  are deleted;  wherever a county name field is blank,  if there  is
  19.   sufficient  city  and  state data available,  the missing  county  name  is
  20.   inserted from a known accurate data source.

  22.   For  ease of use the data supplied to the consumer is divided into  the  11
  23.   FCC subsets.   This allows the user with a specific need to quickly  locate
  24.   their data.  With respect to the data, it should be noted that some subsets
  25.   contain frequencies which are used exclusively in only certain areas of the
  26.   country. A prime example of this would be Subset 6  which contains frequen-
  27.   cies used almost exclusively in the Northeastern US and SO California.
